On Saturday, November 21st, MeasureCamp stormed Barcelona for their first event in the city.
After previously sponsoring a number MeasureCamp events across a range of cities, we were very excited to participate in this year’s Barcelona sessions. Two of our very own Professional Service team members attended the event to share reporting and data delivery best practices.
MeasureCamp is not your traditional conference, but is made up of several ‘Unconferences’, or short sessions. Rather than single-speaker sessions, open discussion is very much encouraged! This gave us the opportunity to partake in many thought-provoking conversations throughout the event.
Our presentation, “A Date with your Data”, focused on how to deliver data to your team in order to allow them to make strong data-driven decisions. We covered some of our data delivery best practices, as well as dashboard design tips – some of which can be found in Sweetspot’s free white paper: The Red Book of Dashboard Design.
In general, #MeasureBCN provided an inviting and informal space where participants and sponsors alike were able to share their experiences and knowledge with the aim of improving their measure initiatives. Tips, tricks, best practices and new platforms made for an environment of mutual knowledge enrichment and sharing.
Once all the sessions were over, and a few lucky attendees had collected their raffle winnings, everyone met at the Old Cloister building at the University of Barcelona for a great night of networking.
It was an exciting evening as we had the opportunity to meet many well-known analytics gurus, as well as some very creative and knowledgeable professionals. We also enjoyed the opportunity to spend some extra time with some of our clients and partners face-to-face, something we love to do!
We would very much like to hear about your time there! What was your best experience at MeasureCamp Barcelona?
